Summary
At Green Frog Roofing, we were ecstatic to have completed a project in the beautiful suburb of Strathfield! This amazing job entailed giving the rear of the home a complete roof transformation.
We began by safely removing the existing roof sheeting and flashings, making sure to dispose of them responsibly. Next, we installed a robust and long-lasting galvanized fastened 70 x 35 graded battening system, providing a solid foundation for the new roofing materials.
To maintain a cool and dry attic space, we installed a layer of foil-backed anti-condensation insulation blanket. To further enhance energy efficiency, we also incorporated X40 Polynum heat reflective insulation, which helped keep the attic space even cooler and reduced the strain on the air conditioning system.
For the roofing itself, we used high-quality (Trimdek .48) Colorbond roofing in the stunning color of Zinc. This material is renowned for its longevity and resistance to severe weather conditions. We also installed new flashings in a coordinating color, to give the entire roof a cohesive look.
To complete the job, we replaced an existing skylight with a new, vented dome-type skylight in opal color. This brought in more natural light and provided better ventilation.
