Colorbond Metal Roof Marrickville

Green Frog Roofing recently took on a project that presented a unique challenge, but one that our team was more than happy to tackle. The Marrickville Roof Job was a complete metal roof replacement for a lovely family home in the heart of Marrickville.

The project involved two parts: the entire rear tile roof section and the rear metal roof. We knew this job would require careful planning, attention to detail, and a lot of hard work.

The first part of the job involved removing the existing tiles and required flashings. We then installed a galvanized fastened 70 x 35 battening system to provide a solid base for the new roof. But that was just the beginning. To ensure proper insulation and prevent condensation, we also supplied and installed a foil-backed anti-condensation insulation blanket. This would not only improve energy efficiency, but also provide extra protection from moisture buildup.

Next, we supplied and installed .55 required flashings in the color Surfmist to match the new Custom Orb Colorbond roof sheeting. This would create a cohesive and modern look for the home. We then used Bremick B8 class 5 fixings to secure everything in place.

The second part of the job involved replacing the rear metal roof. This required removing the existing roof sheeting and flashings. We then installed treated timber battening with galvanized fixings to provide a solid foundation for the new roof. We also supplied and installed a foil-backed anti-condensation insulation blanket for improved insulation and moisture control.

To complete the job, we supplied and installed Custom Orb Colorbond roof sheeting in Surfmist to match the rest of the roof. We then installed the required .55 flashings in a complementary color. Finally, we secured everything in place with Bremick B8 class 5 fixings.
